This part is the original power button used in MacBook Air A1932, A2179, and A2337 models. With its glossy finish, this model aesthetically complements the device. The mechanical click feel and response time have been tested, and it is physically compatible with all models.
⚠️ Important Information:
The Touch ID feature is uniquely paired with each motherboard. Therefore, the button you purchase will only function as a power button . Fingerprint (Touch ID) recognition will not be available.
Common Problems:
No response when the power button is pressed.
Impairment of physical pressure sensation
Damage to the internal mechanism due to liquid contact or hard impact.
In these cases, simply replacing the power button is sufficient.

MacBook Air A1932 / A2179 / A2337 TouchID Power Button (Glossy Surface) 821-01830-A
Due to Apple's security policies, Touch ID sensors are factory-mapped to each MacBook motherboard. This mapping is done to ensure compatibility with the device's T2 or M1/M2 security chip, and only the Touch ID sensor paired with that specific motherboard can perform fingerprint recognition.
Because:
This product only functions as a power button.
Fingerprint recognition (Touch ID) will not work.
When the original Touch ID on the motherboard is replaced with an external sensor, the macOS operating system automatically disables the fingerprint feature for security reasons.
If you want to continue using Touch ID, you will need to use the original Touch ID key paired with your motherboard.
This product has been tested for physical and mechanical functionality; it performs the function of turning your device on and off. If Touch ID usage is critical for you, please reconsider before purchasing.
